Driving

OK, since you all started the debate, what are your opinions about driving and avoiding getting cought by the cops?
Do you drive the speed limit?
Do you go as fast as you want and slow down when you see a cop?
Do you get caught and just manage to make it out with only a warning?
What about radar dectors?

So, what are the differing opinions?

Also, though it's hard to believe, I only need 150 more hits to my blog and I'll have a thousand since September 10! Amazing!

Annother interesting fact, I'll be 20 a week from tomorrow!!

You know my position. It's on childoftheLord.blogspot.com.
Radar detectors are like jamming police radios while you rob a bank so you can break the law and get away with it. (While you are on earth at least) Can't jam God's radio and He's watching speeders with tears in His eyes.

Yes I know Josh. :)

Doesn't anyone have a different opinion? Or are Josh and I expressing the sole opinions?

Do you drive the speed limit? yeah, i'm usually at 60, and i'm careful (seeing as i'm in my dad's pickup...*grin*)
Do you go as fast as you want and slow down when you see a cop? no, we don't have but a couple cops out here anyway, =)
Do you get caught and just manage to make it out with only a warning? n/a
What about radar dectors? hmm, i wouldn't use one - it seems like a device to help you lie, and that isn't right. =)

so yeah, i follow the rules, but i do drive illegally cause i don't have my permit or anything. not that it matters as much out here in the sticks... *grin*

Perhaps the rest of us just plead the fifth.

I've not begun driving yet, but (along with my opinions on stop signs for cyclists) I do have definite opinions concerning what I will do.
(1) I believe it the only proper thing to do to obey the speed limit.
(2) See answer #1.
(3) Hmm, don't see how that's the driver's decision.
(4) I don't know; for what does one use a radar detector?

All Right Nathaniel! Stay true brother. I sped once and I didn't get caught and my mind tried to tell me that it was okay since the police don't even obey the speed limit, but we live in a day when evil is called good and good evil, so stand with your principles and perhaps by God's grace we can stop the tide.

Josh, your concience is like really sensitive - that's a compliment by the way! Absolutely, stand on your principles!
